Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of this role is to support the Human Resources function in key areas of HR with focus on recruitment, retention, employee development as well as engagement in order to meet the department related objectives. Key accountabilities include manpower planning and budgeting for recruitment purposes in order to ensure that the necessary funds and resources are available for the business to perform and grow; managing the entire recruitment function with focus on managing the database, identifying sourcing options, conducting interviews and assessing suitability and developing employment contracts. Additionally, responsibility for devising strategies and initiatives to encourage staff retention, thus saving ultimate costs and training times.

Also, overseeing the bi annual performance management system to achieve fair and correct measurable for all employees in order to encourage development based on areas of weakness and promotion identification. The role is also responsible for developing a concise orientation and on boarding program for new joiners and creation of staff initiatives such as satisfaction surveys and suggestion programs so that employee feedback is valued, addressed and incorporated into the workplace wherever possible.

Requirements

Our client is looking for an individual with at least six years HR Generalist experience, preferably within the fashion or retail industries.

Two years experience must have been gained within the UAE and candidates must have a strong awareness of local cultures and sensitivities. Applications are invited from those with excellent communication skills and the ability to do so clearly so that expectations and business goals are clearly understood.

Results orientation is important and a clear focus on achieving goals as set by the senior management as is the ability to demonstrate flexibility by working with varying requirements for different business units and the skills to change and adapt accordingly.
