Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a UAE Based well renowned & Leading ship builder and support contractor for all Naval, Military and Commercial Operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) needs the following personnel for permanent employment. Candidates for these positions must meet the following requirements:

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
- Perform the following to meet different maintenance activities on-board ship Platform system/Equipments:
- Execute PM and CM as per the work order/Job card for all Platform Hydraulic systems equipment.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities.
- Identify spares.

Requirements

- Diploma/ITI in Engineering or Equivalent with 5/7 Years of marine / offshore experience in similar role.
- Technical knowledge of ships
- Knowledge of how to read and comprehend technical specifications, drawings and setting to work and test and trials procedures.
- Knowledge of ships operations and ship systems
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems like steering gear equipment & system , actuation systems, hydraulic oil system, header blocks, reducers etc
- Operation of general workshop Machinery
- Ability to use range of test equipments
- Understand isolation process for system and equipment , both live and under test
- Function Testing
- Installation of LP Systems and Components
- Installation of valves and hydraulic actuators etc.
- Should be conversant with Maintenance schedules, Technical Manuals and procedures.
- Should be able to trouble shoot the system; solve the technical issues related to various platform related systems.

Preference shall be given to candidates with hands on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment onboard Marine/Naval ships.

4. Passport.
