Hydro Mechanical Engineer Sustainable Energy Eastern Africa

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Hydropower Engineer to work for a leading international Power Energy company within their operations in Africa.

The successful dynamic Hydro Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all activities within Africa responsibilities will include:

Work on small local hydropower projects.

Maintenance of all plant equipment.

Working on turbines, trash racks, valves, cranes and all mechanical machinery associated with a Hydro-Electric Dams and Powerhouses.

Working alongside and teaching local staff.

Dealing EPC contractors, IPP bidding projects, PPA negotiations and project development in general.

Management of contractors on site.



Personal Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years experience within the power and renewables industry.

Experience of the African market is highly advantageous.

Experience of Turbines, Trash Racks, Valves, Cranes and all Mechanical Machinery associated with a Hydro-Electric Dams and Powerhouses.

Management experience in Africa is very beneficial.

Fluency in English is a must.
