The RoleThe RoleThe position is as Account Engineer providing support and Hardware maintenance services to the customer base in Dubai and the northern emirates. The Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining IBM X Series systems, IBM Blade Centre including peripheral I/O equipment such as IBM Storage, SAN Switches, IBM tape libraries etc. Detailed responsibilities include: Maintain high level of customer satisfaction Provide effective and fast repair of ALL machines Be available for out of hours operation and standby when necessary Keep up to date on all product changes and perform self study when applicable Be skilled in Microsoft Windows, Linux and knowledge of Cluster implementation and support Have a good understanding of networking and SAN Should be able to Install, Configure and support IBM X Series servers, IBM Storage, IBM tape libraries and IBM Blade Centre with SAN switch and Network switch connectivity. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe candidates must be: 1. Experienced/trained in the maintenance of the above equipment 2. Full understanding of Microsoft windows and Linux systems 3. Have understanding of Networks and SAN 4. A good communicator and team player 5. Young and dynamic and willing to work long hours if required |
