IP Engineer

Job description / Role

- Design, develop and deploy engineering solutions for IP network improvement, upgrade, and expansion.
- Provide IP network support of new and existing services and features.
- Support last tier escalations for all operational outages in IP network.
- Troubleshoot IP network problems quickly and provide sound engineering solutions by maintaining deep knowledge of clients Data Network architecture, topology, and up-to-date configuration details.
- Document engineering solutions in accordance to in-house standards including but not limited to the following documents: High Level and Detailed Engineering Requirements, Detailed Reference Design, and Detailed Integration Test Plan.
- Conduct high-quality and comprehensive LAB tests to prove viability of proposed engineering solutions.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot IP services.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Information Technology Engineering
- Should be Certified in JNCIE-SP or JNCIP-SP
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in IP Network Engineer with broad experience with Juniper equipment.
- In depth understanding of IP networking including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
- In depth understanding of Ethernet.
- Working knowledge of QoS technology
- Working knowledge of VoIP protocols: SIP, RTP, RTCP.
- In depth understanding of IP network security support including Firewalls and NAT implementations.
