Job description / Role
My client is looking for an experienced IP & Transmission Engineer to be based in Qatar. It is essential you have the following skillset:-
Minimum 6 years of experience and in depth knowledge of Alcatel lucent Microwave, SDH, IP equipment (LSY9600,MXC9500,AWY9400,MPR9500, 7700 SAR Routers, Omniswitch 6850) and minimum 2 year experience in Cisco Switches & Routers
Migration , Modifying logical parameters , firmware upgrade , activity related to IP & Transmission network through 5620 SAM.
Expert in Routers, Switches, Microwave Transmission equipment Operating maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting Transmission issues (Microwave & SDH) IP QoS, ATM, MPLS Traffic engineering, and latest ALU software release for Routers & Microwave equipments . (Minimum 3 Years Exp).
Min 3 years experience in Day to day configuration and maintenance activities in ALU OMC which include Microwave, ATM / IP configuration and network parameters configuration and experience in Daily Network Alarm Monitoring and Fault Analysis of IP & Transmission equipments and experience with working in shifts.
Protocols Knowledge : Microwave Technologies, IP, ATM, MPLS, ISIS, BGP, IP QoS, Traffic engineering.
3 years experience in conducting the network assurance and preventive maintenance of the Alcatel lucent Microwave equipments, Routers, Switches.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Bachelor in Electronics and communication or Telecommunication engineering.
CCIP or CCNP is a must.
Microwave or SDH certification in ALU is preferred.
