Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Manage and maintain all essential servers/services: domain controller, Active directory, file, print, anti-virus, and MIS applications.
Administer and maintain wired and wireless network system, Internet firewalls, Cisco switches and routers.
Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media/recovery tapes.
Provide network and desktop support.
Perform on-site and remote technical support.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
Troubleshoot system and network problems with appropriate support from internal team/external contractors.
Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
Performing routine audits of systems and software.
Apply patches/upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Perform regular security monitoring, and review system and application logs to identify any possible intrusions.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

Requirements

Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years technical experience in managing a Microsoft server and Cisco network environment.
Experience of the implementation of SANs (Dell Equallogic) solutions , Virtualisation (Hyper-V & VMWare)
Ability to identify and resolve data center malfunctions and operational problems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- CCNA or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
- Backup & Replication solutions
- Windows Server architectures (Server 2012, Exchange 2013)
- Remote Access Technologies (such as VPN & 2012 RDP Farm)
- Cisco switches and router LAN architectures and data centre environments
- Centrally managed Endpoint solutions
- PABX and telephony platforms and VOIP
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
Microsoft certifications are desirable.
