IT Consultant (Telecoms)

Job description / Role

A. Working closely with sales and marketing team, create and develop Telecom IT solution for telecom operators, to help operators to overcome their IT development challenges.
B. Present IT solution to CXO level customer in North Africa operators, expected to influence the opinions of external and internal audiences.
C. Act as IT solution expert in CTO office, analyze operators established IT system, address the challenges they are facing and find out the technical solution may help them.
D. Technical consulting service to customer in pre-sales phase and help to develop new opportunities for companys products.
E. Develop sales opportunities through consultative selling approach, and also may need to take key role in sales team as technical sales person to close the contract.
F. Gather, analyze and summarize business intelligence (inc. focus on competitor analysis).
G. The applicant should be prepared for travel up to 50% of time.
H. The candidate will be based in Egypt, Cairo.

Requirements

Experience:
1) Plenty experience in IT infrastructure architecture design and planning (data center area), IT operation and maintenance management (data center area) in the international telecom operators (with more than 20 million subscribers).
2) Plenty experience in area of technical sales, product/solution management, technical consulting or architecture design in leading ICT vendor or operators.
3) Have Technical & Strategic product marketing experience within the Telecom operators industry.
4) Strong understanding of the telecom industry, including vendor positioning, operator strategies, standardization.

Qualifications:
1) MUST have good knowledge of Data Center architecture planning and construction especially Data Center facility, Data Center network, Data Center security, Data Center integrated server and storage virtualization architecture, cloud computing technology etc.
2) Have a good knowledge of the IT vendors product like IBM, HP, EMC, Cisco, Oracle etc.
3) ITLE certificate, Data Center related certificate.

C. Industry background: Telecom Industry IT solution background and Data Center background
D. Education background: Degree(s) and equivalents in telecommunications or engineering, master is an advantage.
E. Language: Fluent in both verbal and written English. Additional language (such as Arabic, French, Chinese) will be highly preferred.
