We are currently seeking an IT Engineer for our Dubai office.The role reports to the IT Manager and will be responsible for efficiently installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks as well as IT infrastructure, applying market practices and IT policies of the Company. The role will ensure that communication networks and systems run smoothly in order to provide maximum performance and availability for employees, associates and external clients.

Responsibilities include:

Interact with internal clients to resolve basic and complex help desk issues in a timely manner and based on business priorities.
Administer and maintain the telephone system, including telephone switches.
Install, support and maintain new server hardware and software infrastructure.
Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection.
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
Manage Company website and performance maintenance and update on a timely manner
Perform basic and more complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery
Implementation of IT operations, computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications and data processing.
Analysing the information needs of an organisation and developing technological solutions to satisfy those needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have exceptional IT technical, customer service and analytical skills.

Essential:
A bachelor Degree in Computer Science or IT.
Minimum 5 years experience in IT support/help desk function.
Minimum 1 year experience in the Middle East.
Experience in Windows based systems including Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and Windows 7, Vista and XP.
Experience in AD DS, DHCP, DNS, Files Services, Print Services, DFS, WSUS and Group Policy Management.
Experience in Symantec Backup Exec 2010 and handling Tape based backup systems.
Experience in Networking including switches, routers, servers, cables, racks, firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, IPsec VPN configuration.
Experience in troubleshooting HP/Dell servers, laptops, desktops, WAPs, printers and projectors etc.
Good written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service skills.
Organized individual with good time management skills and personal efficiency.
Ability to work independently without supervision.

Desirable:
Have technical certifications: MCITP, MCTS, CCNA, CCNP.
Knowledge of IIS, Microsoft SharePoint, ASP.net, SQL Server.
Experience in installing and managing Virtualization platforms: Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix.
