Employment: Full Time

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under direct supervision, provides standard system configuration administrative functions for assigned systems and subsystems of the Enterprise IT infrastructure, including monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting and incident resolution. Performs installation and integration of IT Infrastructure throughout the Enterprise (Network Convergence, routers, switches, IPTelephony, etc). Provides operational support for small-to-medium-sized IT Infrastructure projects and systems for Parsons, individual projects and GBUs. Executes the technical aspects of medium-sized and small infrastructure projects through design, installation and implementation, utilizing established quality standards. May evaluate small or medium-sized infrastructure systems currently in use to assess their effectiveness, to determine how well the infrastructure elements are meeting current and projected business needs and to recommend efficiencies, upgrades and modifications that will improve system use.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using design guide standards identifies specific scope necessary to deliver small or medium sized IT Infrastructure systems, to include networking, cabling and telephony.
- Define Infrastructure requirements, research and solve customer problems. Implement and support of CISCO IP Telephony solutions. Support Enterprise Networking Hardware and configurations at the Data Center with Cisco equipment e.g. 6500 Series switches and routers.
- Configure setup and troubleshooting of IPSec, VPNs and point to point links, BGP, ASA and PIX Firewalls. Troubleshooting of Riverbed WAN Optimization devices.
- Works with the team to develop technical solution designs. Translate customer requirements into technical specifications in the areas of:
- WAN Solution
- Voice Solutions
- LAN Solution
- Structured Cable Solution
- Provides technical and labor estimates to complete project-based deliverables
- Resolve regular everyday network problems related to LAN/WAN/IP Telephony reported through the Helpdesk. Provide 3rd line support for VOIP & Data networks.
- Troubleshoot major network performance/connectivity issues including internal and external application or devices.
- Provide technical guidance in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems either by telephone or on site. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps to ensure root cause is determined and fixed.
- Configuring, support, troubleshooting and managing Cisco voice gateways. TDM based Nortel PABX systems, Monitor Network performance, recommend, or proactively act, to assure system performance meets requirements for continuity of service and service levels. Interface with the appropriate vendor/ enterprise resource to resolve network problems.
- Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications for small to medium-sized infrastructure systems. Provide oversight management of vendors for structured cabling. Assist with network testing assignments and circuitry repairs designed to maximize operating capacity. Coordinate network repairs & Communicate with clients concerning scheduled maintenance and availability of the network.
- Provide after business hour on-call network support. When necessary, Travel may be required to execute IT infrastructure-related projects & support within and outside the U.A.E.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) and 5+ years of progressive experience in managing, supporting & implementing small/medium to complex Joint Venture (JV) networks.
- Experience in maintaining infrastructure elements for a global enterprise data center, an additional 3 years of relevant experience is required for individuals without a degree.

Certifications:
- CCNP is required.
- CCIE, CCVP and/ or CISSP are a plus.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Problem identification, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of Infrastructure components and protocols and how they fit into enterprisearchitecture. This may include a combination of the following elements: network, TCP/IP protocols, infrastructure enabling protocols and various network/application protocols.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of global IT infrastructure.
- Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in basic professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person). Ability to write basic documents (may include email or memos). Typically communicates with a limited group of individuals (employees and some managers) throughout the organization and may occasionally communicate with those outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).

Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
- Speaking Arabic Language is a plus.
