The RoleThe RoleMaritime & Logistics Company USD 45,000 + allowances, medical & tickets Based in Qatar The IT Manager is responsible to for the selection, delivery and implementation of all systems for the logistics function. He will be responsible for the configuration, process, and tactical support to the operations team so as to ensure that the WMS and subsystems deliver the performance and functionality necessary for the operations team to achieve their business objectives. Support operations in driving increased efficiencies Identify required WMS configuration and systems changes to support new processes and proposed changes to existing processes Coordinate systems changes with IT and vendors Review and approve SOP changes pertaining to WMS and to other logistics systems Develop training plan and provide training when needed Serve as Project Manager for WMS implementations/Upgrades Define project tasks and resource requirements Manage project resource allocation within team Track project deliverables using appropriate tools Serve as liaison between DC Operations, IT, and vendors Develop documented implementation plan and report on project progress Configure systems to support planned processes Play key business role in testing, roll out, and implementation of WMS Provide ongoing and post-implementation support Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes Provide site support for distribution centers to support processes, ad-hoc reporting, issue tracking, and drive issue resolution Performs all functions in accordance with IT and mentors junior staff members |
RequirementsRequirementsDesired Skills & Experience Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Information Systems or other relevant field. At least 4 – 7 years experience as an IT Manager or Specialist from WMS Software developers. Experience with WMS implementations and familiar with ATMS software Expertise in supply chain management, warehousing, and distribution Knowledge of project management techniques and tools Good organization and follow-up skills Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Comfortable working with a multicultural staff. A team player Strong communication skill set; be able to manage, influence, negotiate and deliver presentations Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills |
