Employment: Full Time

With steady global growth this international shipping services organisation has a requirement for an IT Manager. This role will require an experienced professional that is hands on as well as strong both technically and analytically within the IT sector.

Working closely with the Management team, this role requires someone that is able to provide project management skills whilst leading a major software and hardware implementation. You will be heavily involved in the operating systems such as Navis and Sparcs as well as ensuring the delivery of business solutions. You will manage and review all applications, develop strategies to rationalise applications to business critical apps, manage IT support services, ensure configuration and development standards are defined and adhered to and are quality approved.

Requirements

Ideally you should have five years managerial or project management experience in an IT infrastructure setting preferably in the shipping, logistics or other maritime related industry. You should have extensive experience in LAn & WAN, HP-UNIX, San Storage, Oracle and SQL databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required and you should have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience within the region is also a distinct advantage.
