IT Manager

Job description / Role

The IT Manager is responsible for short and long term planning, implementation and day-to-day operations of all technology components, processes and related areas. An important aspect of the role is the implementation of Orion ERP software across the group and its maintenance.

Main duties include:
- Manage the Orion ERP implementation across the group
- Manage the maintenance of the ERP system post implementation
- Install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks, workstations, support server system(s), supporting hardware/software, user accounts, and computer/telephone rooms
- Troubleshoot/repair/resolve technical problems/issues related to computer hardware/software/LAN and WAN/internet
- Provide network communications support and technical guidance
- Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements
- Create and update IT policies for the group
- Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
- Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
- Research current and potential resources and services
- Provide network access to all staff
- Install work stations
- Connect and set up hardware
- Load all required software
- Provide network accounts and passwords as required
- Monitor security of all technology
- Install and maintain passwords
- Input and maintain IP addresses
- Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status

Requirements

- Experienced in the implementation of an Orion ERP software
- Proficient in LAN/WAN designs and technology implementation
- Skilled in installation and configuration of PCs, printers and peripheral devices
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Able to meet deadlines and think ahead so the necessary steps are taken

Candidates must have a software related bachelor degree and a minimum of 6 years experience in similar role.
