Employment: Full Time

The role holder has overall responsibility for the development of Operations Support System (OSS) architecture and strategy.

Promotes best practices through sharing expertise and promoting the OSS Reference Architecture across the OpCo's.

The role provides leadership and expertise in the Group IT arena. The IT department maintains close contact with operating company IT Directors and senior IT Application Manager to ensure increasing standardization, harmonization and interoperability of applications and systems.

This role will work closely with Group IT Directors and IT Architects to promote best practice, sharing expertise and promoting the OSS Reference Architecture

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop, document, maintain, and communicate the Group IT OSS strategy
- Develop, document and communicate related strategy, guidelines, policies and principles
- Drive the development of Best Practices for OSS, and service assurance adoption across the Group OpCo's
- Leadership of Group-level expert resources in OSS issues and trends
- Leadership and management of Group-level best practice efforts in OSS, Service Assurance and Customer user experience
- Provide innovative expertise, consulting, design, implementation, and leadership in the realization of the benefits of state of the art OSS adoption across the Group OpCo's
- Lead the implementation and provision of Training, mentoring and development of OSS skills and the use of the reference architecture across the Group Participate in developing the To Be Group OSS architecture
- Act as the group owner of the OSS Architecture models ensured they are maintained in a current state.
- Ensures and maximises the use of Architecture and the tools to maximise business benefits and outcomes .
- Undertake the Analysis of the As IS and To Be models to develop roadmaps converging on a common To Be architecture.
- Participate in group wide synergy and harmonization initiatives in OSS Architecture
- Lead the Development of and Maintaining of a group wide OSS Reference Architecture, OSS Roadmap and associated operational processes.
- Provides direction and leadership of group wide synergy and harmonization initiatives in IT Infrastructure and Operations
- Ensure that Market trends are observed and captured enabling their incorporation into bet practices process development.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and technical expertise to a global organization and own team in order to embed best practices within OSS technologies adoption

Requirements

- University degree in appropriate area.
- Fluent in English - Arabic/French a plus.
- eTOM, TOGAF deep knowledge and associated certification.
- ITIL, COBIT deep knowledge.
- 10 years' total experience and 6 years directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Previous IT OSS architect or Senior IT Operation Manager or equivalent key level role in IT
- Strong experience in developing and implementing OSS architecture and Operations strategies
- Hands-on experience in key OSS functional areas such as Service Management, Problem Management, Fault Management, Performance Management, Fulfillment, etc.
- Strong experience with key mobile telecom technology and applications
- Current knowledge of industry trends in IT Infrastructure and IT Operations, IT Management, IT processes, Hardware and Software
- Strong experience with IT outsourcing and managed services projects
- Strong experience with key mobile telecom technology and BSS / OSS Telco applications
- Strong experience with iServer Architect (or similar tools)
- Knowledge of key mobile telecom IT systems, platforms and technologies, including hardware and software components
- Ability to explain key aspects of technology innovation, information systems, and networks to key people
