Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The IT Project Coordinator is an integral member of the IT PMO, responsible for delivering building & development projects of varying size and complexity. The project coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of the IT Program Manager.

Scope of work:
Attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.
Assist the program manager in drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets and preliminary schedules.
Prepare project organization and communication charts.
Assist the program manager in designing the IT portfolio / programs and projects.
Chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.
Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades.
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

Other areas involved include:
Communication of project information.
Business Owners needs are met.
Review filed inspection reports.
Review contractor quotations.
Track and manage change orders.
Prepare completion certificates.
Reporting.
Administration of the PMIS tool.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in IT or Project Management.
3-5 Years experience in the IT PMO supporting project managers in the delivery of development projects.
Proficient in PMIS tools.
Effective Communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
