The RoleThe RoleThe Project Coordinator is assigned to a project to assist and support the Project Manager with activities that are part of the planning, executing, controlling, monitoring and closing processes of projects. The Project Coordinator will work at a more granular level than the Project Manager to ensure the individual development tasks involved are completed in a timely manner, highlighting any issues that arise to project management and working with the development team to resolve them. These might include such tasks as clarifying ambiguous requirements, organizing additional development resources, coordinating testing processes and keeping the business informed of progress and/or issues. General work tasks include, but are not limited to, the following : • Interface with all required people from all areas to complete the project tasks assigned • Support the Project Manger to ensure the project adheres to the Project Model. • Support the Project Manger to ensure the Project adheres to the PMO process and Compliance requirements • Ensure quality standards for project tasks assigned • Participate in project team meetings, conference calls or any other project related meeting • Escalate to Project Manager if projects tasks for any reason cannot be completed as planned, within the stipulated budget or as defined in the original scope • Notify the Project Manager if the agreed allocation time to the project deviates from actual time worked • Register the time worked on project tasks in the Brightpoint time tracker on a daily basis as per the instructions from the Project Manager • As per instructions and request from the Project Manager, update any project documentation as required such as – for example - the Task or Issue list and Project Schedule • Support the Project Manager in capturing project lessons learned throughout the project • Support Internal Audit and Project Controlling to execute their tasks on the project • For business travel, use approval and registration forms as defined by Project Controlling • Report any expenses as per instructions from Project Controlling • For your area of work, create tasks lists that can potentially be re-used in future, similar projects. Task lists need to be published on PMIS, and need to be updated on a daily basis. • Keep the project resource calendar on PMIS updated for your attendance and travel • Permanently watch out for risks and issues, and notify the Project Manager immediately once you discover a new risk or issue |
RequirementsRequirementsSchool Degree: High-school degree required. University degree desired. Experience: At least 5 years of tasks coordination, preferably from a position with exposure to professional project management as a project coordinator or project team member. A big “plus” is if the applicant has worked in and used a formal Project Model. Language: Excellent spoken and written English. Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably also good knowledge of Microsoft Project. Project management Certification: CaPM desirable. MUST COME FROM IT PRODUCT and SERVICES INDUSTRY. |
