Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Projects team is responsible for the holistic delivery of all key revenue projects and internal projects for the company. Projects team provides support to the overall business strategy through effective customer relationship management with our large client base and ensuring issue free delivery of revenue projects for complementing the company revenue stream.

Job Purpose
- Manage end-to-end delivery of high value revenue projects and strategic projects through effective collaborations. Support business case. Collaborate with Clients, Vendors, Service Providers and other internal/external stakeholders and obtain commitments for issue free delivery of medium size to large projects. Develop and upgrade skill sets of the projects team in order to deliver expected business results.

Core Functional Responsibilities
- Manage and drive a cross-functional services team to delivery on schedule & on budget high quality enterprise custom solutions build
- Manage risk, issues and dependencies at an project level
- Ensure execution of all contractually obligated tasks and deliverables
- Be the primary point of contact for the customer for engagements under your management
- Interface with customers and partners on general and specific issues as well as involving other experts and/or management as necessary
- Produce regular and detailed status reports to the customer, including budget, schedule status, invoicing, issues, risk, dependencies, and any other delivery related information which may impact target achievements or service delivery.
- Accurate tracking of project cost and resource burn rates
- Contribute to Statements of Work and Change Orders
- Ability to conduct workshops and sessions to structure scope of engagements

Requirements

Very good knowledge of the cards payment industry including experience in card management systems, EMV technology, card scheme switching networks and end-to-end card scheme and cards operational processes.

In-depth Project Management knowledge and methodologies.

- In-depth knowledge of project management techniques, tools and processes and detailed understanding of Project Management Methodology
- Very good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management frameworks
- Experience with Visio, MS Project and SharePoint, desired
- Business process/workflow analysis, a plus
- Proven ability to negotiate project scope and deliverables
- Exhibits exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and project team
- Competent in group facilitation
- Able to influence others without having to invoke direct authority
- Ability to work effectively in a team and matrix environment
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and engagements at one time
- Comfortable in a fast pace work environment
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- 8-12 years of project management experience leading large complex IT projects operating in a matrix organisation
- Overall 5 years of experience in the banking and services industry out of which 2-5 years should be in the payment cards industry
- Track record of successfully implemented projects/programmes
- Candidate must also have understanding of defect and release management done as part of a complex development project
- Excellent Stakeholder/Client Management experience
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management delivery methodologies
- Experience delivering time & materials as well as fixed fee projects
