IT Project Manager – Supply Chain

The IT Project Manager leads and manages software development projects as part of IT systems to support Management and Operations. You will deliver business applications to meet internal customer specifications within budget and time deadline.
The IT Project manager is part of the team responsible for suggesting and implementing the solutions required by Supply Chain Organization. To do so, he/she has to liaise with the Business Process Team, with application vendors/developers (product provider) and with the Data Center that hosts the system and other IT architecture and infrastructure teams.
You will also be responsible for the following:
Supervise the development of software applications using company corporate standards.
Manage the development process using project management methodologies, tools and procedures defined by IT Organisation. Includes following the PLMP (Project Lifecycle Management Process) process and keeping the Project Office application up to date.
Ensure that the application is compliant with Sarbannes Oxley guidelines where applicable.
Provide input and attend the Quarterly reviews with IT Management.
Manage internal and external resources (development teams, outsourced data center) based on availability as required.
Recruit, develop, and motivate project team members.
Liaise with other internal project teams as required.
Mentor any direct reports (where applicable).
Will be the key contact for the project, ensures quality of deliverables and is accountable for the performance of the team.
You MUST hold a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an MBA with IT System major.
It is essential that you hold 5 + years experience with at least 2 + years in Project management
You must have managed and/or lead small teams
Experience with large globally deployed multi-user single-instance enterprise applications essential
Experience with formal methodologies/tools in project Management (PMI,Prince2, ITIL), Software development, ticketing systems(Remedy etc), code/version control (PVCS etc.) a must
Work experience in software development and understanding of software development life cycle
Programming experience required.
The following is also a must:
Familiarity with Web development technologies
Operating systems (Windows/UNIX/LINUX)
Familiarity with databases (Oracle preferred) and SQL
Familiarity with network aspects and effect on system performance, performance testing methods
Familiarity with MS Project, Visio, Sharepoint etc and ability to build/maintain documentation
