IT Project Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for their Dubai office to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects that deliver software tools and services to key Government and Financial Service Clients. You will work with the customer to develop the scope of work documents and project plans.

The Project Manager will be responsible for key stakeholder management at senior executive level and will use their skills to manage project roles, identify resource requirements, meet training needs, define project deliverables, provide customer satisfaction and reporting structures and ensure the quality of the project. Manage the system development process, ensure effective communication and relationships between the customer and the project team members are maintained.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Define and deliver the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management and Sales.
* Responsible for overall service delivery assurance on large complex software implementations.
* Efficiently manage resource allocation.
* Manage project delivery risk and mitigating actions. Hands on management of day-to-day operational aspects of the project.
* Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organisation on the progress of the project.
* Manage revenue models and P/L; meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions as required.
* Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree.
* Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, MSP or PMP(P).
* Significant experience in delivering large complex IT engagements and projects. running throughout all project lifecycle stages.
* It is desirable to have had experience establishing and/or running either a Project and/or Programme Support Office.
* Proven experience of stakeholder engagement at Senior Executive level.
* It is desirable to have had experience either working for or within a Government Agency.
* Proven experience in strategic planning.
* Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
* Ability to describe technical procedures to customers and other stakeholders of all levels of technical aptitude.
* Considerable writing proficiency, visual design skills, and oral presentation skills using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
