Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Developing a process and system, to reduce risk and protect information & infrastructure from internal and external threat;
- Ensuring all business critical and sensitive systems comply with all applicable information security and IT policies, standards, and technical controls;
- Day to day security operations of the organization;
- Liase with IT Security Manager to ensure that Information Security program elemnts are adequately implemented;
- Ensure compliance to various external, statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information security
- Responsible for ensuring all critical and sensitive systems comply with all applicable information security policies, standards and technical controls;
- Responsible for the daily security function of the business unit;
- Liaise with IT/ Information Security Manager to ensure that information security program elements are implemented by each business unit;
- Monitoring local compliance of the security policy and procedures;
- Development of authorization and authentication procedures;
- Participate in Investigation of security breaches and incidents;
- Reporting all security incidents to the IT/ Information Security Manager.
- Assisting in back-up, recovery, and business continuation procedures;
- Participate in conducting security awareness trainings at the business unit level;
- Ongoing administration of security within the business critical systems;
- Conducting external/ internal vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on regular/ periodic basis;
- Conducting application security assessments;
- Regularly conduct and maintain the IT Risk Management;
- Conduct internal Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) assessments;
- Manage external security vendors;
- Participate in IT and security initiatives/ projects being conducted;
- Conduct activities relating to IT disaster recovery and business continuity management;
- Responsible for other ad hoc initiatives as directed by the line manager;
- To develop and maintain ITIL & ISO frameworks within the organization;

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT or related fields with a strong background in IT and Information Security roles.

Minimum Experience:
- 3 years experience in information security management and/or IT audit
Functional Knowledge:
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong Planning and organization skills
- Good Analytical skills
- Good people management skills
- Excellent user support skills
