The Role


The Role


• Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems
• Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training (In-house)
• Supports project sites by remote access/telephonic/personal visits when required.
• Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems
• Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT
• Inventory and provide accounting of resources including software, server, workstation and lap top systems
• Prepare and deliver new laptops, PCs, Printers, Blackberry and other IT hardware
• Perform additional duties as assigned for IT management.
• Follow Quality Policy by recognising and meeting customer's needs.
• Comply with international standards and IT audit requirements.
• To comply with all applicable legal and HSE Requirements / Procedures.
• Troubleshoot NORTEL IP hard and soft phones.
• Primary responsibility for entering helpdesk data in MOSS or any other helpdesk softwares
• Troubleshooting skills in various softwares and infrastructure related issues e.g citrix,Infor Ln ,Wrench etc on client side
• Maintain the office Attendance system
• Troubleshooting skills in Active directory,Exchange 2010 and File server related issues on client side
• Performing and coordinating effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on laptops, desktops & servers.
• Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, monitor network, computer and disk utilization.
• Keep updated records of service & maintenance agreements.
• Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company’s IT goals
• Procurement of IT related hardware/software.
• Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.

Requirements


Requirements


Knowledge of CITRIX 4.0,VPN(Sonicwall), Server,Terminal server ,Windows XP and 7, Microsoft office 2007 / 2010, Escan, Forefront or Symantec EndPoint Protection mechanism, configure various type of printers and auxiliaries e.g. barcode scanners etc.
Experience of Active Directory 2008 and File server DFS 2008 with an idea of restoring these server in case of breakdown.
Systems, Servers & LAN/WAN Networks with its network Switching & Routing technologies(Nortel & Cisco) and firewall (Juniper and Sonicwall) client interfacing skills.
Participation skills on Network Storage Systems, MS Project Server, MS Exchange 2007/2010.
• Participation skills in Business Continuity Plans, and Disaster Recovery Plans on Veritas & Symantec Backup EXEC
• Interfacing and coordination skills in the area of Infor Ln,Wrench,MS SharePoint Portal Server, Office communication servers,System centre configuration management server , SQL Server Replication and datawarehousing
