Job description / Role
- Enhance the import export process
- Receive orders from agents, acknowledge and simultaneously send PO/PI to supplier
- Send PO/PI to the supplier on a weekly basis for OPC customers
- Ensure to get timely updates on the shipments via ASN/emails and update the webpage accordingly
- Ensure the dispatch of goods meet the requested sailing date/week
- Ensure Import/Export accurate documents before the vessel arrives
- Follow up on all the steps from the time the goods are dispatched until the goods are cleared at the port of the customer
- In case of claims, coordinate with the customer & supplier until settlement
- Facilitate reimbursement of e.g. tariff rebates, export restitution benefits in EU, specific customs duty privileges, etc by maintaining documentation & providing documents to meet customs & legal requirement in each receiving markets
- Coordinate with concerned departments for all steps involved to ensure accurate order processing
- Constantly review total lead times and alternative options (in conjunction with freight team)
- Regularly update of general shipping instructions
Requirements
- Good knowledge of logistics & customs regulations
- Logistics/supply chain management diploma will be an advantage
- Degree in commerce or business administration
- Experience in logistics / freight / supply chain
- On husband/father's sponsorship
