Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Supervisory position responsible for on time clearance and delivery of all sea and air shipments.

- Checks the regular attendance for entire subordinate in Kronos / 3PL system and approve the correct overtime where applicable.
- Ensures that his / her personnel are performing the assigned tasks correctly and efficiently.
- Enforce discipline among his / her personnel, escalate where essential for further action.
- Build and review Competency Matrix to understand gaps and take actions to close them.
- Conduct audit in 3PL warehouse to check for any non-conformance based on QA guidelines.
- Liaise with transport planning supervisor to ensure that the fleet used for Import operations meets requirement.
- Ensure on-time updation of tracking sheet.
- Put in place control mechanism to monitor on-time OBD creation.
- Daily update on OBD status to key stakeholders.
- Validate Requested Delivery Date is consistent with Dispatch Plan.
- Prepare and maintain daily checklist to verify completion of activity relate to documentation.
- Follow up with service provider to ensure on-time availability of documents.
- Review performance of service provider to identify areas of improvement and put in place actions.
- Validate fund requirement and availability for on-time dispatch of shipments.
- Provide daily visibility of updated ETA of upcoming shipments.
- Create and maintain SLA with Supply Planner to provide on time feedback on touch points identified.
- Liaise with transport planning supervisor to ensure export containers are loaded and deposited in time.
- Work with transport planning supervisor to distribute the load within and across week.
- Act as a single point of contact for designated category / countries on providing visibility of shipments
- Manage suppliers and act as a first escalation point for local authorities involved in the documentation process (Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Economy, MOFA, Ministry of Water & Environment, Dubai Municipality, Embassies) to ensure Documents are generated on time. Elaborate and propose possible process improvement initiatives. Manage petty cash and documents payment process (direct or via 3PL)

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain and Logistics.
- 3 years experience in logistics.
- Knowledge of SAP transactions related to shipment tracking.
- Knowledge in best practice, principles and regulation of Quality, Safety, Health and Environment.
