Our client is a leading maritime services company who seeks an Imports Coordinator to be based in Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity to establish a career path with a world class organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsible for sea imports coordination.
• Maintaining import job files and invoice as per rates agreed/quoted.
• Liaising with the customs clearance staff, Operations Supervisor and Imports Supervisor on work routine.
• Coordinating with destination agents/clients to keep them updated on all import shipments.
• General office administration including preparation of faxes, letters, etc. and dispatch of documents to clients/agents.
• Liaising with clients/origin agents for all import/local documentation.
• Coordinating deliveries and booking of transport.
• Invoicing/storing documentation in the system.
• Executing and advising agents of insurance claims and maintaining the claims register.
• Assisting the Imports Supervisor in all his work as and when required and or in his absence.
• Maintaining Import Customer feedback forms and compile monthly summary.

Requirements


Requirements


• Strong experience in sea imports coordination. Local experience within a ship agency an advantage.
• Knowledge of import document requirements & local clearance procedures.
• Working knowledge of QMS, Environment Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
• Must have excellent English communication skills
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Assertive, attentive to details, organized, and career-oriented
