Job description / Role
A leading financial institution is seeking an experience Legal Counsel to join their team in Bahrain. The role involves providing in-house legal advice, guidance and services for the institution and its associated subsidiaries under the tutelage of the Group Legal Counsel. Some key responsibilities include:
- Anticipating, evaluating and advising on potential legal problems in keeping with the institutions interest &enabling it to achieve its business objectives
- Ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations of the jurisdictions in which the institution conducts its business
- Reviewing, drafting and preparing legal documents
- Recognizing potential risks for the institution under the laws of various countries in which it conducts its business and advise accordingly
- Revising legal documents for conventional and -Sharia compliant transactions
Requirements
The vacancy is open to candidates with a strong academic background, impeccable English communications skills (verbal & written) coupled with diligent, empathetic and reliable character traits. Candidates must have excellent negotiation and drafting skills, a keen enthusiasm about the institution and a self motivated drive to succeed. In addition, must be a team player with strong business acumen and commercial awareness. Lastly, candidates must have a creative and innovative problem solving techniques with an international mindset.
