Job description / Role

Focus is located in Muscat, Oman; To support Focus Customers in the design, development, implementation and commissioning, Focus is looking for Industrial Automation and Communication Networks Senior Pre-sale Engineer in OIL & GAS, ELECTRICITY & WATER sector.

Requirements

- BS Electrical Engineer
- 10 years of high level experience in the similar field;

Specialist knowledge:
- Design, development, implementation, testing, commissioning of SCADA & Automation Systems;
- Implementation, testing, commissioning of Variable Frequency Drives & Water Level Monitoring
- Design, implementation, troubleshooting and commissioning of PQ systems;
- Implementation, testing, commissioning of Protection Systems;
- Implementation, testing, commissioning of transformer monitoring systems;
- Design, development, implementation, testing, commissioning of waste and water treatment systems;
- Communication network design and configuration;
- Interface with customers, including troubleshooting and commissioning support;
- Produce Risk Assessment and Method Statement
- Provide technical back-office support for the sales/proposal team;
- The candidate will be required to travel to project sites;
- Compile training manuals and run customer training session.

Soft Skills and Personality traits: -Knowledge of ANSI, IEC standards
- Communication Protocols such as IEC61850, DNP, Profibus, -OPC, Modbus, Spanning Tree, RSTP, OSPF, VRRP;
- Produce the design documents;
- Ability to write tender documents;
- Knowledge of Autcad for drafting;
- Applied knowledge of electrical engineering, schematics, one and three lines;
- MS Project;
- Adept with Microsoft Office Applications;
- Project Execution experience;
- Team Lead/ Project Lead experience;
- GCC valid driving license compulsory.
