Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Mechanical Design:
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical design concepts and practice.
• Ensure approved variations to the scope and drawings are understood, reflected and incorporated into to the works.

Installation Monitoring:
• An in-depth understanding and monitoring of the mechanical and electrical installation and safety standards applicable to the project.
• Supervise installation of various mechanical and electrical equipment.

Design:
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering design applications and standards.
• Displays a working knowledge of various options/applications when to use a specific selection of design criteria.

Facilities Operation:
• Review and comment of the As- built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals.
• Formulate guidelines of operation, coordination and interface of utility services.
• Supervise and manage rectification work carried by contractors in accordance to utility service operation.
• Generate guidelines for monitoring spare parts required in the success operation of the utilities.
• Gain an understanding and make comments on the outstanding works inventory.
• Coordinate on a technical basis with the existing stakeholders to resolve any outstanding technical issues to enable design and construction to commence or evolve.
• Understand the layout and functional requirements of the facilities to be designed and constructed
• Integrate the codes of Facility management operation into the design requirements where applicable
• Develop an in-depth strategy for the inspection and facilities equipment takeover in the shortest possible time.

Requirements

• Recognised international Mechanical Engineering Qualifications or degree
• Min 5 to 8 year’s relevant experience in the field of management level.
• Well versed to different local and international authority requirement such as IIEE, ASHRAE, LEED, CIBSE, Civil defence, and NFPA.
• Management technical know-how
• Infrastructure services Operation knowledge
• Experience with AutoCAD and mechanical engineering design codes.
• Fire system installations and codes of practice.
• Experience in a mechanical engineering role with an International company.
• Experience in large urban development projects which includes infrastructure services such as S/P Subst., Primary Subst., Pocket Subst., District Cooling Plant (DCP), Energy Transfer • Stations (ETS), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE), Potable Pumping Station and distribution, Storm water network management etc.
• Technical experience in management, commissioning and operation of various installations of mechanical and electrical equipment of various infrastructure systems.
