Infrastructure Technical Architect

Job description / Role

IT Infrastructure Strategy:

• Work closely with key stakeholders within AGI Business Units, AGI Support Functions, and IT teams to develop comprehensive IT Infrastructure Strategy to support different business units across different countries ensuring highest uptime and taking advantage of emerging technologies such as Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS), and Virtualization.

• Work closely with the Business Units to build a DR Strategy, and Execution Plan that support business continuity based on business needs, and risk appetite taking into consideration existing control mechanisms to provide the proper Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO)

IT Infrastructure Architecture and Design:

Build the Architecture and Design for AGI Infrastructure and execute key initiatives including:

• The planning and implementation of infrastructure architecture as part of applications technology initiatives such as ERP
• Plan, Promote, and Execute IT Shared Service initiatives around core IT offerings such as E-mail, Intranet, Data Center hosting, and Unified Communication taking advantage of emerging technologies such as Office 365, Unified Communication Solutions, and Virtualization
• Perform Storage and Capacity Planning to support business growth
• Assess Network capacity to support deployment of Cloud solutions to ensure proper response time
• Review and evaluate current infrastructure regularly, assessing needs and making recommendations on a regular basis to maintain network integrity, scalability and efficiencies
• Work closely with the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to ensure Server performance, capacity, builds, high availability & Patch management are planned and implemented

IT Support:

• Lead and Manage the implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) using ITIL framework to ensure Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, and Changes are well managed to deliver high Service Level
• Work with the Business Units and the IT Infrastructure, and HelpDesk Teams to agree on the SLA
• Design the Performance Reports for the IT Service to be reviewed with the various Business Units within AGI
• Work closely with the Procurement Department, and 3rd party vendors to ensure well designed delivery of goods and service is in place
• Ensure new IT trends such as Managed Services are being taken into consideration with the proper SLA commitments to support the business

Risk and Compliance:

• Evaluate IT Audit recommendations and observations and propose action plans to ensure high degree of compliance

• Ensure Risk Assessment is done regularly for the IT Infrastructure and Applications and work closely with Business and Risk teams to ensure risks are addressed

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or IT or related field is a Must.
• ITIL Certification is a Must.
• Infrastructure and Technical Certification is an advantageous.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years of relevant IT work experience in a large organization with
• 4+ years working as a Technical Architect, Infrastructure Manager or similar
• Proven track record delivering IT infrastructure and projects using emerging technologies such as Cloud and Virtualization
• Ideal candidate is someone who has worked on or managed Oracle eBusiness suite infrastructure
• Ideal candidate is someone who worked for conglomerate and is able to manage various stakeholders with competing demands
