Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Instructional Designer/Administrator is responsible for the development and management of customized e-learning training resources. Additionally this position is responsible for administration of training requests and logistics.

Develop customized e-Learning tools for general and business process trainings.
Liaise with subject matter expert & analyse learning outcomes to incorporate instructional design theories and practices when designing content. Propose innovative ideas for e-Learning content to promote blended learning culture.
Adopt varying writing styles to make content easy to understand for the target audience.
Obtain approvals from relevant trainer(s) on content developed.
Maintain project status reports & supporting documentation for each training program.
Carry out administrative tasks i.e. preparation of the monthly training calendar, maintenance of participants’ attendance records, processing external training requests and applications for CME accreditation for various courses.

Requirements

Licensing / Education:
Bachelors/Diploma in any discipline.
Certification in instructional/curriculum design; e-learning certification would be advantageous.

Specialised Skills/Abilities/Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in a learning and development environment.
Prior experience of applying the concept of instructional design to develop training content.
Prior experience of coordinating training programs, training logistics & maintaining training records. Good visual design skills with ability to create storyboards.
Good computer skills; proficient in using Microsoft Office packages specifically MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Visio.
Prior experience of using content development softwares such as: Adobe Photoshop, Camstasia or iMovie

Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management and organisation skills with an ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to be proactive and use self-initiatives.
High attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Proficient in both written and spoken English; ability to speak and write in Arabic would be an advantage. Flexible and adaptable Ability to work within a multicultural work environment.
