Job description / Role
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately as related to instrumentation. Ability to utilize design (programming) software’s are mandatory. Ability to supervise simultaneously on different project sites.
Reviews/comments on instrument engineering control systems like instrument location layout drawings, cable block diagram and cable schedule, control room layout drawings, control schematic diagram-control and logic diagram for control system equipment.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Reviews contract drawings, specifications and other procurement materials that have been prepared by others; and provide comments on the results of the reviews.
Understands all related codes and their application to the project; and overseas/manages the interface with local agencies to coordinate design standards usage and monthly approvals’ process.
Maintains awareness of the project instrumentation specifications, drawings and design criteria.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Control & Instrumentation, Electronic Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation or equivalent from an accredited University or Institution all to the approval of the Engineer.
Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience, at least 7 years experience in instrumentation works like pressure switches, transmitters, flow meters, etc.
Must be able to review and supervise a broad range of control & instrumentation and software designs activities on a variety of public water infrastructure projects.
