Job description / Role
•Detailed instrument design engineering experience with an engineering contractor or consultancy in a multi disciplinary team environment
•Experience in design of complex instrument engineering and design projects
•Knowledge of discipline based applications software
•Advanced understanding of various types of control systems (e.g. SCADA, DCS), functions of control systems (e.g. Basic Process control, SIS, HIPPS, F&G) and advance protocols
•Familiarity with Safety system design including assessing SIL and knowledge of related IEC/EN standards
•Prepare Instrumentation Data Sheets, Control Narratives, Single Line Diagrams, and specifications of bulk materials
•Prepare specifications and technical bid evaluation of Field Instrumentation and Control system.
•Liaise with vendors to determine correctness of vendor product or gathering information for design
•Review and check deliverables for completeness and correctness
•Assists in proposal preparation/ cost estimation
•Attend acceptance test and inspection or factory, fabrication yard and site
•Attend technical discussions with client/ vendors/ 3rd parties
•Serve as mentor to junior design engineer and draftsman
•Excellent knowledge in International codes and standards especially in SABIC and SAUDI ARAMCO engineering standards
Requirements
Graduate Engineer in Electronics, with 05 to 10 Years experience in Instrumentation Design, with an EPC or Engineering Consultancy environment with focus on the Industrial/Process Plant Sector. The experience would cover issues such as Selection and Specification of Field Instruments and Control Systems. Need to have a solid understanding of the Application of Field Instruments and Controls Systems. To take leadership responsibility for junior engineers as dictated by project requirements.
