CH2M HILL Interface Lead (Wet Utilities) - Doha, Qatar

Project Info & Job Purpose:
Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure, competition and noncompetitive venues.
CH2M HILL is the programme management (PMC) responsible for the construction management of competition venues, training sites, associated common domain precincts and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Background: There are numerous water and drainage projects currently being planned by Kahramaa and Ashghal that are required to ensure the success of the tournament. The projects affect the delivery of critical infrastructure including the Metro, New Port Project, HIA as well as competition and non-competition venues. The competition venue projects are also become more developed through the design and implementation stages and integration into Kahramaa's and Ashghal's expansion projects requires careful management across the programme.

The role is to work closely with Kahramaa and Ashghal on an ongoing basis to monitor the progress of implementation of the critical projects and identify critical or near critical activities at an early stage to allow successful intervention. Project delivery plans and schedules will be critically reviewed to provide delivery assurance and contribution made to acceleration and / or recovery plans as required. The appointee will assist to facilitate and contribute to coordination resolution meetings between key stakeholders.

The role will prepare assessments of Kahramaa's and Ashghal's project planning and implementation and provide progress reports; and contribute to making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following:


Chartered status is preferred or membership with other professional affiliated institutions

15 - 20 years experience across design / implementation / management of water / waste water projects.

Flexible, team player, Client facing, problem solver. Convincing and skilled technical negotiator / arbitrator
