Employment: Full Time

The Role:

Provides senior expertise to identify design and construction interfaces and develop a resolution strategy to minimize the impact of identified interfaces on the overall program delivery.

This position is focused on monitoring, tracking, and assessing interfaces and work closely with the Design, construction and contracts teams to identity the most effective and economical way to resolve them.

The Senior Interface Engineer also participates in workshops in accordance with contractual obligations; and monitors risks/problems and helps develop options to resolve.

Responsible for the day to day management of the design interface engineer and administrator.

Liaise with the Contracts team regarding ability to transfer work between construction packages.

Liaise with interface design change engineer regarding design changes and transfer packages.

Performs engineering reviews of the interfaces and provides technical assessments and recommendation to eliminate interfaces.

Advises Design Change Interface Manager and other members of the delivery team of potential impacts in relation to identified interfaces.

Develop an interface management log and supports the maintenance and tracking of Interfaces. Develop Monthly Reports highlight critical interfaces.

Interfaces and coordinates with the design consultant(s) when proposed interfaces/design change documentations are not fully compliance in order to expedite the review and approval process.

Present and escalate critical interfaces to management to ensure timely resolution.

Works closely with the Construction Management Team to assess impact of identified interfaces on the delivery of construction work.

Performs interface engineering assessment and coordinates the review with other project team members to facilitate a comprehensive analysis.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Design Change & Interface Manager.

Requirements

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

10 years of related work experience preferably in large-scale development projects where general design services were performed.

GCC experience is preferred.
