Job description / Role
- Reports directly to Design Director.
- Lead a team of designers, technicians and FF&E assistants.
- Manage project design and documentation delivery.
- Translate design concepts to reality.
- Design analysis, research and preliminary design studies.
- Prepare design presentations for internal approval.
- Overseeing construction documentation and design drawings.
- Design and manage to a set budget.
- Coordinating with external professional consultants to integrate requirements and meet overall project objectives.
- Ensure issued information meets regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the design meets the clients requirements and specifications.
- Create work programming for the entire Interior Design Team.
- Undertake site inspections.
- Ensure office standards and level of quality is met on each project.
Requirements
- Professional interior design experience in high end commercial hospitality design.
- Ideally a minimum of 10 years relevant full?time work experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Good hand sketching ability.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office 2010.
- Digital graphic presentation skills, including good working knowledge of Photoshop and SketchUp would be preferable.
- Basic knowledge of InDesign preferable but not essential.
- Project management experience from concept to delivery.
- Team management and leadership.
- Producing detailed design and construction drawing packages.
- Producing FF&E, OS&E and material specifications.
- Producing client design presentation packages.
- Project documentation management and control.
