The RoleThe RoleResponsibilities: • Managing the design functions on projects as assigned including liaising with architecture on interior space planning, engineering a specialty functions throughout all phases from feasibility to operations. • Design development management from planning, pre-construction, construction, through to handover. • Guidance and advice on design implications during pre-construction phase. • Maintaining the design brief within cost restraints. • Risk assessment and risk management. • Ensuring legislative compliance. • Liaising with the development and delivery departments to ensure effective design management. • Establishing design briefs, requests for proposals, area programs, scopes of work and deliverables requirements for interior design consultants. • Leading Interior Design team for each assigned project including key scope, schedule and cost. • Advise consultant on use of cost effective materials and manage systemic value engineering throughout project. • Support Sustainability implementation. |
RequirementsRequirementsPreferred Qualifications/Experience: • Degree in Interior Design • 15 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 7 years in sizable construction companies in GCC, preferably in fine buildings like Hotels & Resorts, Offices & High-rise Towers, Luxury Villas & Palaces for high profile clients. Desired Skills: • Should be highly detail-oriented with high level of quality consciousness. • Should have worked with large multi-cultural teams. • Strong organizational abilities coupled with good knowledge of building regulations, contracts and construction and commercial judgment. • Should be creativity & artistic, with effective time management skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects. • Strong interpersonal skills. |
