TGP is a Dubai based company specializing in exhibition stand design and construction, conferences, event management, turn-key digital solutions and commercial interiors.
TGP draws on the expertise of its seven divisions (exhibitions, graphics, event management, interiors, digital marketing, conferences, and audio visual) to work towards one goal: delivering world-class, commercially successful projects from conception to implementation.An experienced interior and spatial designer is required to join our growing team at TGP.
The designer will be responsible for the design or renovation of internal spaces, including structural alterations, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes. The designer will carry out design and feasibility studies for commercial offices, retail, hospitality and domestic sectors from beginning to end.
The individual should have the ability to work in both commercial and domestic settings, combining the efficient and functional use of space with an understanding of aesthetics as well as the structure of the interior.
Responsibilities:
The Interior and spatial designer, will be responsible for the planning and organising the design of commercial and domestic interiors, including:
Office spaces and industrial premises, food & beverage locations, retail locations, leisure spaces.
Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients, developing design concepts and setting project schedules.
Considering materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiating project fees.
Producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation to clients, sourcing products, eg fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing.
Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals .
In addition, you may also sometimes act as a project manager for the client throughout the construction stage. This can involve coordinating the design on site and even managing the construction team.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Interior Design/Architecture.
Previous experience as an Interior Design in the UAE.
Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Understanding of a sales process.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Able to work well under pressure.
Western Nationality with Western accent.
Arabic is a plus.
