Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an established group of companies who are focused on lifestyle brands within the retail sector. Our client is looking to hire an experienced Internal Audit Director to head their internal audit function.
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will interact with senior stakeholders and be responsible for the financial and systems integrity across the group. You will develop and manage the internal financial and operational audit programme, ensuring that control standards are met and maintained. You will also identify and alleviate any business risks. In addition, you will recommend improvements to the internal control practices and advise and guide the board on any audit related issues. You will also monitor external regulatory changes which may affect the organisation and recommend response strategies.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent). You should have a minimum of 10 years experience as an Internal Auditor and have at least 5 years in a leadership/head role within audit in the retail industry. Additionally, you should have Middle East experience and have operated at a regional level, however our client will consider candidates with retail experience who are willing to relocate. Due to the seniority of this role you should possess excellent communication skills with English as your first language.
