Charterhouse is working with a leading regional holding group. Our client is looking to hire an Arabic speaking Internal Audit Manager for their newly established internal audit hub in Amman.

With a reporting line to the Vice President of Internal Audit, this role will take ownership to review all business and financial systems and processes ensuring compliance and best practice across their operations and internal processes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the execution and undertaking of all financial and operational audit procedures and preparing review procedures to standardise policies and test schedules within the group policy. This will be under the external audit framework aligned to international accounting standards and internal policies. Risk analysis will be another critical component of the role to minimise and alleviate exposure across the business entities as well developing any required procedures to mitigate these areas. In addition, you will be responsible for an overview of non-compliance and implementation of required change management alongside liaising with the Audit Committee and Board of Directors to assess and implement the best practice and policy.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA or CISA). You should have a minimum of six years’ experience within an Internal Audit or Risk Management function, ideally with exposure to a Big Four practice or a commercial organisation. Familiarity with accounting standards is critical and candidates will be assessed with regard to their ability to present reports and findings whilst delivering proposals to Senior Management within the business and finance line. It is essential you are a fluent Arabic speaker.
