Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a diversified group of companies is currently recruiting an Internal Audit Manager. You will be reporting to the Group Chief Audit Executive.

Responsibilities:
- Working with senior management to identify major business risks and incorporate the results into the company's internal audit plan to be submitted to the Audit Committee for approval.
- Executing of all internal audits within the company.
- Developing flowcharts, risk & control matrices, audit programs and internal audit reports.
- Accomplishing audit work in accordance with internal audit methodology and budgets.
- Updating the process universe, risk and control matrices and other repositories.
- Follows up on internal audit findings.
- Facilitate risk assessments at corporate level.
- Presenting findings and progress against plan to the Audit Committee.
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Internal Audit Charter.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with staff in the business; including the CEO and CFO.
- Carrying out duties as secretary of the Audit Committee.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in an accredited college or university.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other audit/accounting qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years of audit (some of it in a Big4) or related (internal controls) experience. Core Internal audit experience should not be less than 3 years.
- Experience in assessing risk and planning internal audits.
- Extensive experience auditing Food & Beverage outlets is a MUST! (additional retail audit experience preferred).
- Proficient in audits of POS systems.
- Extensive skill in planning and managing audits and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to draft reports and to participate in presentations.
- Understanding of IIA Standards.
- Understanding of fraud risks and controls.
