Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of this section is to establish the purpose, authority, responsibility and procedures for the Internal Audit Department.

This position reports to the Group GM and is responsible for planning, designing and conducting reviews of organizational, functional and contractual activities to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of management controls, and to determine whether organizational units in the company are performing their planning, accounting, custodial or control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, internal procedures and governmental regulations; making recommendations for improvement.

1.Study the current rules, regulations, policies and internal controls of the company

2.Develop an audit plan to evaluate the institution's financial, operational and EDP controls.

3.Assess the economical and efficient use of resources.

4.Review and study the companies contracts signed with all the clients and make sure to comply with obligations.

5.Determine the level of compliance with established laws, rules, policies and procedures.

6.Recommend adoption of desirable policies or changes to existing policies.

7.Follow-up on the adequacy of corrective actions.

8.Conduct special projects at the request of the management.

9.Investigate cases of misappropriation, misconduct, fraud.

10.Establish and maintain professional rapport with external parties (banks and custormer) and management.

Requirements

To be successful you must have/be:

Professional Accounting qualification – ACA, CIMA, CPA etc

Substantial experience in Big4, auditing large financial service institutions

Previous experience/ability to set up Internal Audit function

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
