Employment: Full Time

Exciting career opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager to be based in Qatar working for a leading Manufacturing group.

Based in Qatar, an Internal Audit Manager will develop the Internal Audit strategy and ensure effective cascading of departmental strategy into section's policies and procedures in line with the overall business objectives of the Group. Furthermore, you will oversee effective undertaking/updating of annual or periodic risk assessments for the group and subsidiaries Identifying high, medium and low risk areas to be included in annual Audit Plan in accordance with business area risk rating. As an Internal Audit Manager you will prepare the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon. You will ensure that audit procedures are strictly adhered to, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analysing evidence, and documentation of Technology processes and procedures. In addition, you will report to Audit Committee and Board of Directors on a quarterly basis to facilitate updating internal audit plan, progress and key findings.

Requirements

An Internal Audit Manager needs to have the below skills and expertise:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Certification in at least one area (e.g. CIA, CA, CPA, etc.) is preferable.
• Post-graduate qualifications in business administration or a related field or profession (e.g., IT auditing, fraud auditing, or accounting) will be viewed favourably.
• 8 years of general auditing experience in a leading audit firm and /or an internal audit in a company with minimum 5 years in a progressive managerial position
• Experience of interacting with external auditors and representatives of national/international financial institutions.
• Project management, quality control review and planning experience.
• Knowledge of international accounting and reporting standards
• Knowledge of the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Code of Ethics
• Ability and willingness to relocate to Qatar
• Preferably bilingual (Arabic and English)
