Internal Audit

Job description / Role

Conducts risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Performs audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques.
Analyze and document various business processes.
Documents the results of audit work in accordance with audit department and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
Prepares timely audit reports for executive management, Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
Checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable.
Auditing daily accounting transactions.
Ensuring that assets are safeguarded.
Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied with.
Conduct special audit projects, investigation assignments, as requested by the Director and the Audit Committee.
Playing the advisory role by preparing the analysis & recommendations for Yearly results & profit plan.
Responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of audit programs.
Maintains the Groups standard for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the IIA.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting and CIA certificate.
A minimum of 3 years experience in internal audit role; preferred with contracting/construction background.
Ability to work to deadlines & under pressure.
Excellent analysis & presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Great team player.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Self-motivated.
