Employment: Full Time

Our client is a dynamic, leading trading and industrial conglomerate in Saudi Arabia. Established for more than 50 years, it plays a pivotal role in the development of the Saudi Arabian infrastructure. It is a holding group consisting of 5 business sectors operating in trading, manufacturing, construction, services and consumer products. It has a strong presence Kingdom-wide and has a base headquarters in the Eastern Region.

They are looking for an Internal Auditor – Data Analyst, to be based in their head office in Al Khobar. The successful candidate shall be responsible in developing and executing data analytics and providing data mining solutions through the use of Computer Assisted Audit Tools and Techniques (CAATS) to enhance capabilities and productivity of the internal audit function. Furthermore, the person will participate in assessing the utilization of ERP and information systems / IT audit assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand the Functionality/Business activities performed using the ERP and other software.
• Examine the data warehouse structure to determine the best tables and columns that contain the important information.
• Gathering, analyzing and assuring quality of the data to meet audit requirements. This includes perform complex data analytic procedures on a diverse scope of problems.
• Document the analytic results in a way that can be understood and used for audit purposes.
• Assist in redesign existing audit process to maximize efficiency and improve the effectiveness of audit procedures.
• Performing an ERP Assessment to determine how the ERP is utilized and identify opportunities for generating additional value (missed opportunities).
• Perform information security risk assessment and recommend system based controls.
• Create cyclical reporting packages and create methodology for regular / continuous auditing of data.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by audit management.

Requirements

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to learn business processes quickly, identify risks and understand relationships between the systems and business functions.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task and manage frequent priority change.
• Excellent business and numerical analytical skills, problem solving skills and ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Macros etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter and creative.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information System, Accounting or Finance.
• Possess or working towards a professional designation such as CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)is preferred.
• 3+ years working experience of data warehousing, data analytics and data mining tools such as ACL, IDEA and MS Access.
• Working knowledge of ERP system (JDE would be preferred) and CAATS (IDEA / ACL) software.
• Knowledge of SQL, database query tools, and database design concepts.
• Knowledge of business processes, internal controls, and understanding of the internal audit process.
• Experience in a similar role or audit experience would be advantageous.
