Job description / Role
Inspire Selection is searching for a UAE National Internal Auditor with around 3-5 years experience in internal audit. Our client is a large events company.

Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying significant processes, develop audit objectives and map the process for each audit assignment and present to the Head of IA/Manager / Assistant Manager for review.
- Conduct interviews with the Process Owners to gain an understanding of the area being audited.
- Assist/ prepare Risk and Control Evaluation document to address the risks and controls relevant to the auditable area.
- Assist/ prepare detailed internal audit work program to address the risks identified along with the testing strategy.
- Prepare audit opening conference document after the initial kick off meeting with the Head of department.
- Monitor and review the audit status, audit issues and working papers of audit team on engagement.
- Provides regular feedback to the Head of IA/ Manager / Assistant Manager for the status of each audit assignment.
- Review compliance with policies, plans, standards, laws and regulations which could have significant impact upon operations.
- Assist in performing the special assignment as requested by Head of IA.
- Allocate the assignments under the internal audit plan to the audit team members.
- Review, assist and supervise the work of audit team.
- Provide the technical expertise on any related assigned duties and responsible for the updating of knowledge base and skills required for the execution of the internal audit assignments on regular basis.
- Present the findings of the internal audit assignment to the Head of IA/ Manager / Assistant Manager.
- Conduct follow up assignments and report to the Head of IA/ Manager / Assistant Manager the findings on the status of implementation of the recommendations raised in the final report.
Requirements
- UAE National only.
- Internationally recognized qualification i.e. CA, CIA, CISA, CFE, ACCA or CPA is a must.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in risk based audits.
- Experience in Big Four professional services firm.
- Good communication and analytical skills, organizational ability and judgment required.
- Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and practices of accounting and financial records and transactions.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with the members of IA department and other Company personnel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to interview persons to extract information of a sensitive nature.
- Ability to gain the confidence and respect of management and staff through attributes such as professionalism and positive attitude.
