As a result of continuous growth and development we have a unique opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. Internal Audit is an independent review function that reports to the Group Audit Committee, it carries out a wide range of work including risk assessments and reviews of the effectiveness of controls over our business processes.
Working with the Internal Audit Manager, you will be primarily responsible for performing internal audit assignments as part of the ATP annual Internal Audit plan. This includes conducting internal audit procedures and summarizing the results of the work performed. The audits cover various areas / departments at Atlantis The Palm and focus on both financial and operational processes. Additionally, you will assist in performing follow-ups on the status of outstanding management action plans and support the preparation of the periodic reporting to the Audit Committee.
Based in Dubai, this role will support Internal Audits business partnership Atlantis; The Palm and provide management with assurance that its risk are fully identified and controls and processes are operating effectively.
Requirements
- Competency in finance and computer skills is very important for this role.
- Experience in ATPs IT systems, especially, Opera system is preferred. You need to be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You need to have experience in creating reports addressed to various audiences, e.g. department supervisors, senior management - accuracy and an eye for detail are important.
- Internal Audit often reviews sensitive information so integrity and discretion are essential prerequisites.
- The knowledge of ISO 9001 standard is very helpful as you will be monitoring the resorts internal processes and coordinate and actively support the relevant audit processes.
- You will need to undertake any internal audit activities as and when required, including possible occasional overseas visits, to support the drive for continual improvement and achievement of the resorts Mission, Vision and Core Values.
- To have the ability to handle pressure and long working hours and to provide guidance/ influence to colleagues of all levels and have a good adaptation to change.
