The Role


The Role


Accountable for:
• Monitoring and reporting on corporate standards (P&P’s and templates) to ensure standardization of all internal communication activities across the Bank (including countries and subsidiaries).
• Reviewing and randomly audit all internal communications to ensure they adhere to set policies and guidelines and ensuring the optimum delivery of the intended message(s).
• Implement internal awareness programs regarding the Bank’s Purpose, Vision and Values, as per supervisor’s direction.
• Periodically audit the Bank’s Intranet (ARABINA), review and approve its content in line with the standards and guidelines, to optimize its efficiency and usability, while serving as the Business Project Manager / point of contact.
• Act as a coordinator with the Agency, the Business and the Supervisor with regards to the two processes of Internal Newsletters and Orientation material related to general information of the bank processes for PLC.
• Coordinate the preparation of all Employee events.
• Assist in CSR – related coordination as per Manager’s request.

Key Roles:
• Act as Business Project Manager for the Intranet project under the direction of Internal Communication Manager, and act as the department’s administrator.
• Maintain database and schedule of Internal Newsletters, and coordinate their review and design as needed, edit content.
• Develop and implement Internal Corporate Communication P&P’s and guidelines related to the following:
• Assist departments in planning internal events and act as coordinator with the Agency and relevant internal parties.
• Assist in developing templates and pro-forma texts.
• Main coordinator for necessary Legal approvals.
• Review all internal memos and communiques (when requested) that are not business as usual to ensure maximum impact and adherence to the Bank’s strategy and core values.
• Prepare monthly Employee Relations report.
• CSR coordination under guidance of Manager.

Key Performance Indicators:
• Consistency of internal communication standards & guidelines functionally and in countries.
• Impact of / feedback on internal communications and employee events.
• Employee “buy-in” of CSR activities and their success.
• Employee satisfaction / usability of Intranet and internal newsletters / publications.
• Consistency of information and messages.

Requirements


Requirements


Experience:
• 3 – 5 years experience in leading Communication firm or newspaper or in a similar position in an international bank / company.

Education:
• Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communication, English Studies or the like, preferably from a UK / US / Canadian / Australian university.

Skills:
• Fluent in English & Arabic (other languages is a plus).
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to coach people and train them to deliver strong, high-impact messages (oral and written).
• Excellent command of MS Office.
