Internal Control Director

Job description / Role

The Company
My client is a western MNC operating in the Oil & Gas/Energy/Industrial services sector. They have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Control expert to join at Director level (reporting to the Regional CFO).

The Role

- Management – manage Internal Controls & Due Diligence Compliance Departments and a team of 2 Internal Auditors – provide guidance, training and support to MEA EPM employees on internal controls and due diligence procedures.

- Checkpoint – responsible for the MEA WA Checkpoint process, training and updating the Checkpoint Champions and MEA employees on Checkpoint processes and providing administrative support to Champions to ensure Checkpoint is fully implemented and integrated. Also ensuring approval time is as per matrix.

- Audits – carry out financial audits; Anti Corruption audits; Internal Controls audits and Checkpoint Compliance audits to ensure compliance with Corporate Policies & Procedures.

Requirements

The Person
- Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW
- Extensive Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP/SOX
- Minimum of 8 years+ post qualification experience in Financial and Control Audit
- Must have Middle East and Africa experience
- Highly proficient knowledge of FCPA and SOX
- Manufacturing Industry Audit experience
- Understanding of Checkpoint Intermediary Due Diligence Reviews
- Must Be willing to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time within the Middle Ease & Africa Region.
