The RoleThe RoleMy client, a leading Islamic Firm is currently seeking to recruit an Internal Control Officer. The purpose of the role is management responsibility for Internal Control Unit which includes: - Nostro Account reconcilement coordination with Riyadh - Proofs, audits, controls for various automated and manual products & processes - Independent deal confirmation for Treasury and deposits and placements - Coordinate RCSA process for the branch Responsibilities: - Responsible to ensure that all independent and departmental functions as defined in the internal manuals, policies, and procedures are performed in time. - Coordinate the Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process for the branch - Ensure that all tasks specified in the Internal Control Unit checklists are completed in a timely manner - Ensure all nostro account exceptions are released in time. Liaise with Riyadh Reconcilement Unit for timely, accurate reconcilement and problem resolution. - Ensure all KPI sent to management on various outstanding issues - Escalate material issues affecting reconcilement and verification process to management - Ensure that confirmations are received and deals confirmed for all Foreign Exchange, deposits and other deals where client confirmations are mandatory - Ensure all receivable and payable ‘aged’ items are reviewed and monitored for timely liquidation |
RequirementsRequirements- 4 years experience in managing medium size Internal Control Unit - In-depth knowledge of internal controls, RCSA and compliance functions - Knowledge of Islamic Products Skills: - Excellent performance track records in terms of meeting goals. - Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal. |
