International Contractors Project Director - Major Projects - to 80K AED per Month

Job description / Role

My client is a major International Construction Contracting Group. We are looking to appoint a (Contractors) Project Director to the Dubai office to work on major projects within the Emirates.

Project director for the delivery and the overall management of the design, its development, costs, pre-construction and construction
Specialist consultancy support and bid management services to organisations and consortiums for project biddings
Reviewing and advising on progress for active construction projects
Budget management
Change reporting and control, client presentation of reports, provision and coordination of feedback.
Leading the teams of multi discipline and ethnic diversity on major projects from Retail/ Mixed Use/ High Rise/ Commercial / Leisure and special projects such as Expo and Sporting Facilities.
Direct management of the construction development team, engineering/design teams as well close liaison with external consultants,
Day to day general management of the development project delivery team
Overall progress on programme and budget, risk management and mitigation measures on the delivery of the construction
Overseeing the design, construction contract, programme, cost and quality
Management of change and its impact on construction delivery, budget and end value of the project
Management of changing priorities, assessment of impact on construction delivery costs and programme and how to implement
Negotiation for project final accounts, disputes, fees, service level agreements

Requirements

The right candidates will require;

20 years Construction / Building and Infrastructure experience.
10 years on major project at a value of $500M USD+
5 years working within an International Construction/ Contracting Group within the MENA region. Ideally experienced in the UAE Market.
Degree in Construction/ Civil Engineering.
Chartered status would also be an advantage.
Extensive management of large construction teams from project start to completion.
