On behalf of our client, a leading international group, we are recruiting a Senior Chemicals Trader for their office in Dubai. Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, sourcing chemicals globally, establishing relationships with worldwide chemical producers/ suppliers and enhancing the chemical trading activity in the African continent. You must have excellent sourcing and business development skills. The position involves regular travel to Africa. Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate a capacity to create strong supplier relationships and manage existing relationships well. This role offers an excellent career opportunity to assume responsibility of larger geographic regions and eventually leading to the position of Head of Trading. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe successful applicant will have at least 8 years of experience in international chemicals trading and possess established contacts with the major chemical companies and commodity traders. Ideally, you will have a Chemical Engineering degree; MBA is an advantage. You must be results driven, dynamic with attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a key focus on details and quality of business developed. Preference will be given to those applicants with similar experience in any of the major multinational chemical companies. It is essential that you have a top-level network in the chemical industry and trading, including suppliers of chemical products and their users. |
